2. Hoover Dam Bypass Bridge.
The Mike O'Callaghan – Pat Tillman Memorial Bridge, also known as the Hoover Dam Bypass, was the first concrete-steel composite arch bridge built in the United States, and includes the longest concrete arch in the Western Hemisphere. Opened on October 19, 2010, the bridge provides a crossing of the Colorado River for U.S. Route 93, linking the states of Nevada and Arizona 1,600 feet (490 m) downstream from the Hoover Dam. The bridge is the second-highest in the United States, behind Royal Gorge Bridge at 840 feet (260 m) above the Colorado River. Built as part of the Hoover Dam Bypass Project, which successfully finished within budget at a cost of $240 million, the bridge portion cost US$114 million (2010 prices). http://www.hooverdambypass.org/
3. Indian Village
The Hualapai have created an authentic Indian village with authentic dwelling of the various tribes surrounding the canyon. This a self guided walking tour and features an amphitheater presenting Native American performances.
4. Hop-on & Hop-off Legacy Tour
These buses will help you make your way around the canyon. They start at the main terminal with the first stop being Eagle Point. When you're ready to leave hop back on the bus, next stop is Guano Point, then to the Western Ranch for lunch and back on the bus to the main terminal for shopping.
5. Eagle Point
This popular stop got it's name from the rock formation the appears to be an eagle with his wings spread wide. The Hualapais believe that Eagles transport their prayers to heaven and a giant eagle embedded himself into the canyon to watch over a the tribe. Eagle point is also the location for the World famous Sky-walk.
6. Skywalk
Only the most adventurous people are brave enough to walk onto this glass bridge suspended 4000' above the canyon floor. Tickets may be purchased on the bus from your guide.
7. Guano Point
Guano Point got its name from an old bat dung (guano) mine just below the edge of the canyon. Stretch your feet, and hike down to the mine apparatus but be careful not to fall. What makes Guano Point so amazing is you can hike up a hill (no fencing or guardrails) and be witness to a breathtaking 360 degree view of the canyon.
9. Wild West Town
Nothing but fun at this re-created western town complete with marshal, horses, wagons, farm animals, a jail a saloon and more. Here you can try your hand at some western games like quick draw, cow roping, hatchet toss, the bow & arrow shoot or mining for gold. Fun for the young and the young at heart alike.
